Volunteering at Alington House
The Alington House Community Association is a registered charity which is professionally run by our Centre Co-ordinator, assisted by a small but dedicated team of volunteers.
We are looking for volunteers from all walks of life, who have the willingness to help and the desire to give something back to the community.
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with our kitchen and café, garden maintenance, and repairs and building maintenance. Even if you only have few hours to spare, why not get in touch and see how you can help to support our charity.
Why Volunteer?
Alington House offers opportunities to enhance your current skills and there are a variety of activities which you could be involved in, including gardening, maintenance and decorating.
Alington House can also provide work experience for people looking to add to their CVs, as well as a wide range of maintenance related projects. We offer support and training to volunteers, especially through our 'One Awards' accredited course 'Moving on Through City Volunteering', enabling everyone who is involved with us to gain a positive perspective on volunteering in a city context.
How to Volunteer
We welcome people regardless of age, race, gender, or sexual orientation. Even if you only have a limited amount of time available, it is the skills you may be able to offer that are important to us.
